TechStar, Inc. supplied special spherical bearings with integrated Lock-Up Devices for the CN Railway. This product is designed for a 100 year life and is designed to protect the bridge against forces from the train. In recent years, locomotives have become increasingly more powerful, so powerful that the traction forces have moved bridges off of their bearings. The design of this bearing system prevents this from happening from either braking forces or startup forces from the train.
