TechStar/SPCC has supplied the test section of PWS for the cable band friction test for the SAS Bridge (new Bay Bridge) in San Francisco. The test was conducted by American Bridge and witnessed by Caltrans. The PWS met the conditions of the friction test requirements and another step towards the completion of the bridge has been met.

Soon the Mock Up of the placement of the PWS in the Deviation Saddle of the Self Anchored Suspension Bridge will be undertaken. This is the next step in the process of the approval of the PWS cable. Below the hexagon PWS is converted to a square PWS shape for the saddle. The radius is the same as that which will be present on the bridge.
