Shield driven tunnels are normal means of construction in subways, water systems and sewer systems in major cities. Recent trends in this construction field have dictated measures against high-pressure water levels. To meet this challenge, TECHSTAR introduced the dual polymer seal-an EPDM core seal coated with a hydrophilic rubber compound. This seal creates the best possible seal to protect against extremely high-pressure water levels.
